Days in the Life

On crisp, waning autumn afternoons, such as the kinds that percolate through the month of November, I often find my mind wandering back to an earlier time in my life when I was a student at Albany Law School of Union University in Albany, New York.   In the summer and fall of 2006, as a third-year law student, I had the distinct privilege of working as a summer law clerk with a respected, established litigation firm in Latham, New York, as well as participating in two internships in New York State government: one with the Litigation Bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General and one with the New York State Department of Banking.   The proverbial balancing act if there ever was one, especially with a rigorous law school course schedule, I was thankful for these opportunities inasmuch as they fused my then-nascent interest in consumer protection law with my seemingly lifelong desire to pursue a career as a litigation attorney; they provided a solid anchor for my fut
